Standing in the Hall of Presidents

It was my first time visiting the David Adickes Sculpturworx in the Heights neighborhood in Houston. It was such a beautiful day and I had an amazing time checking out the giant sculptures of the heads of our nation’s past presidents and the exaggerated statues of The Beatles. It was only fitting that I took out my new Melissa Velia royal blue shorts with a cute bow at the waist for a spin. The shorts (from her SS14 collection) are ultra-feminine and best of all- made in Los Angeles. I chose to play it up with a colorful vintage secretary blouse, a blue vintage sequin jacket, bright red vintage clutch and red platforms. The array of color contrasted greatly against the neutral palette of the sculptures.
