I recently stopped in the newly opened Montrose location of Emerson Rose– a quaint woman’s fashion and lifestyle boutique. They also have a sister location in The Heights. I actually first heard about that shop through one of my Phoenix blogger pals, who had posted a photo of one of the shop’s marquee sandwich boards, which had the cheekiest message- “I know guac is extra, but so am I.” That sparked my curiosity to check it out. It is one of the cutest little shops I’ve seen here in Houston. They offer not only clothing (such as Texas and Houston “local love” tees, ‘Plant Mom,’ and ‘Girls Supporting Girls’ graphic tees, etc.), but also home decor, lifestyle items (such as pretty much anything from Ban.do), accessories, and shoes. The dressing rooms and lounge area are also worth mentioning, as they are warm, cozy, and give off a bohemian vibe. The neon pink “I want it all” sign that’s anchored to the cactus print wall behind the cash wrap is also pretty noteworthy.
If you’re in the Montrose area, definitely stop by! If you are huge IG fan, you’ll love their cheeky marquee. Don’t forget to look down for the “Hey Good Lookin'” that’s painted on the concrete at the entrance. They also have a wall that’s painted on the side of the building that’s a favorite spot to photograph outfits and such.
