I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for my Arizona home as I write this post. It was only a few weeks since the Mr and I were in the state, but it feels like ages ago. Of course, I wanted to jam-pack EVERYTHING into the few days that we had in Phoenix. Two of the things on my list included: finding the World Peace mural and finding this cool art installation on Grand Avenue (thank you for posting about it, @downtownphoenix).

The World Peace mural is located at 301 W. Roosevelt St. in downtown Phoenix. It was created by traveling artist- Renda Writer. This mural is #41 on Writer’s Mural Tour across the U.S. and Mexico. His goal is to create handwritten murals all over the world in hopes of enabling change through the influences of the written word and through art.

After seeing @downtownphoenix ‘s Instagram post on this little outdoor urban street art space, I had to see it in person. I believe this was created as a part of the Art Detour 30 event. I’m not sure who created this festive plot of artwork on Grand Avenue, but boy…this is one of the many reasons why I love Phoenix! This colorful place was painted on, yarn bombed, stuffed animal bombed…you name it… Definitely go check it out if you are ever in the area. It’s located just north of McKinley and 13th Ave.
