Flea Style Celebrates Store Opening in Dallas’ Deep Ellum

The first weekend of June started off with a celebration- the gurus at Flea Style opened their brick n’ mortar headquarters in Dallas’ trendy Deep Ellum neighborhood. The team chose a beautiful historical brick building that featured over 3,000 square feet of retail space, plus 1,000 square feet of flex studio space, where they will host a myriad of workshops and parties. The shop houses around 54 local vendors as well, including: Vida Antigua, Krisen Home, D Heart D, Shell & Pine, Whiski Designs, Urban Fibers, Mod and Jo, Cheeni Clothing and much more!

I drove the three hours from Austin to Dallas for their Grand Opening. The shop was everything I could have imagined, and more! It’s such a huge space, and the girls utilized every inch of that space perfectly. The decor and merchandise included a mix of handmade, upcycled, vintage, and bohemian. Seashells, macrame, rattan, cactus, and ethnic prints dotted the retailscape. A collage of mirrors hung on the wall behind the cash wrap, while another collage of vintage wheels hung in the front window. Also placed throughout the retail area are small biographies of each of the vendors, which I think is a great touch. I don’t know about you guys, but I always like to learn about the maker of my clothing, jewelry, or home goods (if applicable). I also got a peek at their studio space, which was also where calligrapher- Viv Jordan was customizing Flea Style mugs for guests, and Hive Coffee had a mini coffee station set up. I ended up leaving with the coolest vintage hand-painted belt (last photo on this post). I had such a great time, and am excited for Brittany and her wonderful team. Whenever I’m in Dallas, this will definitely be one of my stops.
