LOVE CURES CANCER PRESENTS SECOND ANNUAL

TAKE A CHANCE ON LOVE CHARITY BENEFIT

Night Of Fashion, Art and Special Musical Guests Kicks Off In Hollywood On
Wednesday, February 10 at 8 p.m.

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 28, 2010 – Love Cures Cancer is hosting its second annual “Take A Chance On Love” red carpet charity event at Voyeur (7969 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046) on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m.

“Love Cures All was thrilled by the charitable support we received from Hollywood, the general public, and countless donors for our first ‘Take A Chance On Love’ event and the ‘Holiday Cheers Toy Drive Benefit,’” said Cyrus Ahanchian, President of Love Cures All. “Their love and generosity are invaluable to us, as it helps us continue our mission, and allows events like ‘Take A Chance On Love 2’ to raise as much awareness as possible of important causes.”

Presented by Love Cures Cancer and Project ETHOS, “Take A Chance On Love 2” will feature an open bar, silent auction, fashion show showcasing high-end women’s line, Goci, unique art installations and music by DJ Reflex (Kanye West, 50 Cent). All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to CHLA.

Love Cures All is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is “to spread love by leaving the world better than we found it. No overhead, no salaries… just love.” Founded by like-minded Hollywood filmmakers with the will to make a difference, its first initiative, Love Cures Cancer, leverages the founders’ unique access to celebrities and media production to raise funding for cancer research, as well as to improve the daily experience of young patients treated at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).

To encourage giving, Love Cures Cancer utilizes various digital outreach and fundraising strategies, such as videograms (Jessica Szohr (“Gossip Girl”) and Dianna Agron (“Glee”) have created their own here) and online donations. Last year, Love Cures Cancer events raised a total of $20,000 through the “Waiting Rooms Suck!” campaign. The funds raised were used to renovate and furnish CHLA’s new radiology lab waiting room with a Nintendo mobile Starlight Wii, flat screen televisions, DVDs, books, learning tools, and a body mass index analyzer from BioSpace America.

Tickets to “Take A Chance On Love 2” are $20 pre-sale and can be purchased at www.LoveCuresCancer.com and $30 at the door. Co-producers of the event include Project ETHOS and Mojoflo Productions.

About Love Cures All
Love Cures All’s mission is to spread LOVE by leaving the world better than we found it. Its vision is to be the premiere youth market charity by utilizing familiar faces, with familiar technologies, to turn early adopters into long-term donors. With our founding members all working in Hollywood as actors, writers, producers, and directors, Love Cures All has a unique access to celebrities and media technologies to better raise awareness for our initiatives. Through our digital-drive fund raising strategy of leveraging young Hollywood with a digital technology mix of video messaging, mobile texting, social networking, and – most importantly, love – combined with our live events, Love Cures All will provide benefactors with the means to personally and conveniently donate to our causes. At Love Cures All, we don’t take salaries and we don’t have overhead… all we have is love. The Noreen Fraser Foundation: The Noreen Fraser Foundation uses educational and awareness campaigns to raise funds for translational cancer research aimed at developing new prevention methods, diagnostic tools and non-toxic therapies to treat women’s cancers. Our hope is that until there is a CURE, women’s cancers will become manageable diseases which can be controlled with targeted treatments that protect patients’ quality of life. Noreen Fraser, a stage IV cancer survivor, has played a pivotal role in raising money and awareness of the importance of translational cancer research as co-creator and co-producer of Stand Up To Cancer, a movement which has raised over 100 million dollars for cancer research to date. Noreen Fraser also encourages people around the world to share their cancer related stories and videos with the Noreen Fraser Foundation by submitting directly to the NFF website at www.noreenfraserfoundation.org.

The Men For Women Now initiative hopes to inspire men to show their love and support for the women in their lives by asking them to schedule early detection tests. Noreen Fraser believes that women have traditionally been seen as the hand holders – she hopes that if the men in their lives offer up their support, more women will have tests and more lives will be saved. SIMPLY STYLIST ~~~ OCTOBER 14th-15th @ Siren Orange Studios

"Why not go to the root of where style starts and pamper these men/women for once..."

What started out as a concept between two sisters in 2005 while sitting in their Hollywood penthouse office became a two-day event where stylists can meet and network, while also being pampered with full service beauty and spa treatments.

The two sisters behind this latest industry event are Caroline Rothwell and Sarah Pollack, who also run Caro Marketing; specializing in art, music, fashion and technology. Popular brands they have launched include TOMS Shoes and ArynK.

They anticipate this year’s Simply Stylist  Pop-up PR Showroom event to be the biggest ever, with TOMS  Shoes as the head charity sponsor and TheLookbook.com as it’s co-host. TOMS will not only be showing their 2010 collection, but guests will have the opportunity to create their very own custom shoes. The proceeds will go to children in the impoverished areas around the world. Brands like: Ronald Abdala, Tahir Sultan, Paul & Joe Sister and Bordeaux  will be there. This event is not only for the stylists, but will also benefit the participating designers as well. Not only will there be 1oo top fashion/celebrity stylist contacts, but the reps can present the lines to THE “insider” event at LA fashion week, as well as the numerous media outlets that will be in attendance.

For more information, go to www.simplystylist.com or info@simplystylist.com. For Caro Marketing, go to www.caromarketing.com and their number is (323)781-2276. Also, check out www.tomsshoes.com and for a listing of over 3,000 fashion and accessory PR contacts, check out www.TheLookbook.com.

MAGID BERNARD

Press Release: Fashion/Events/Community

For immediate release: November 10, 2009

Los Angeles Designer, MAGID BERNARD, to present fashions at The Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles’ Second Annual “A Woman’s Story” Luncheon and Fashion Show

(Los Angeles, CA)  – The Wilshire Ballroom at The Beverly Hilton Hotel will be the posh venue for The Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles’ second annual fund raising luncheon and fashion show, entitled “A Woman’s Story”, on Friday, November 20, 2009. The $150 a plate event was launched in 2008 to support the organization’s family literacy programs and was attended by over 200 guests last year, including including prominent business men and women, community leaders and celebrities.  This year’s luncheon will be EMCEED by KTLA Morning Show anchor, Michaela Pereira, and event chair, Cristina Rose of Rose & Kindel.

The luncheon will feature a fashion show hosted by Wynn Develle, owner of DeVelle boutique in San Marino, CA and will spotlight the Fall 2009 Collection from the Los Angeles-based design team Michele and Magid Bernard (MAGID BERNARD).

For the event, the Bernards are taking a cue from the popular “Mad Men” television series and presenting a grouping of women’s cocktail suits, dresses, coats and evening gowns that exemplify the fashion industry’s return to old-school glamour this year.   “As a designer, it’s refreshing”, says design partner, Michele Bernard “we don’t see many curves on the runway anymore. And our clients can’t seem to get enough of this ultra feminine look.”   The Magid Bernard collection ranges from the cool, untouchable elegance of Grace Kelly-inspired suits, gowns and day wear to curve-hugging, smoldering-yet-classy styles reminiscent of the very best of Marilyn Monroe.   Mad Men’s Betty Draper and Joan Holloway will both want a front row seat for this gorgeous presentation.
MAGID BERNARD is a made-to-measure couture altelier located in the landmark New Mart building in downtown Los Angeles.  They serve an international clientele of business women, celebrities and community leaders and have been the recipient of numerous accolades and awards for their work.  They sell by private appointment, client-hosted gatherings, and through a handful of select boutiques worldwide.

DeVelle is an exclusive womens boutiquelocated in the Mission District of San Marino, California. Owner, Wynn Develle has been the proprietor for 20 years. She carries the MAGID BERNARD collection along with a complete offering of women’s finery from casual to special occasion.  DeVelle is located at 2509 Mission Street, San Marino, CA.

The Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles was incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in March, 1993. Its mission is to assist literacy efforts in the greater Los Angeles area by providing leadership, trained volunteers, curriculum assistance, advocacy, literacy resources and creating stronger public awareness to better serve individuals in becoming self-sustaining, productive members of our communities. We serve learners, literacy providers, and employers in the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.

“A Woman’s Story” Luncheon and Fasion Show will be held on Friday, Novemer 20th, 2009 from 11:30 am to 2:00pm at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Wilshire Ballroom, 9876 Wilshire Blvd, Bevery Hills, CA 90210.  Tickets are $150 and may be purchased at www.theliteracynetwork.org or by calling 213-237-6726.
