(Vintage Jumpsuit- estate sale find, Vintage Ferragamo Heels- thrifted, Vintage Sunglasses- The Grove Vintage)

I wish to thank Omar Lisandro for posting about this magnificent wall on his Instagram, because I never would’ve known about it. Not only is it happy and colorful, but it also has a deeper meaning to many. This past weekend was the annual Pride parade and festivities in Houston. ‘Pride’ is the term used in the LGBT community that is a positive stance against discrimination and violence towards their community and helps to promote their self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increase their visibility as a social group, build community, and celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance (info via Wikipedia).

For this particular post, I wanted the wall to be the statement, so I chose to do an all-white ensemble. I had found a really cool vintage jumpsuit with small ribbon bows at a recent estate sale, and paired it with vintage white Ferragamo heels and vintage sunglasses with white frames. I then took a couple bits of thrifted white lace to add more texture to the jumpsuit as a belt, while the other lace piece doubled as a headscarf. For this occasion, less truly is more.

To all my friends and fans in the LGBT community – you are loved!

If you stop by the wall, be sure to use the hashtag: #PrideWallHTX

(Vintage 1990s California Souvenir T-Shirt, Vintage Palazzo Pants- The End in Yucca Valley, Vintage Sandals- thrifted, Vintage Necklace- ATRS, Vintage Christian Dior Sunglasses- Vintageworks Etsy Shop, Vintage Coach Handbag- Vintage by Misty.)

My friend Sofia and I ventured over to the posh West Ave River Oaks shopping center to have brunch at Pondicheri– Houston’s uber-cool Indian restaurant, that is also known for their delectable and colorful Instagram account.

Since it was a nice, almost-spring-like day, I opted for my flowy palazzo pants that I found at my friend Kime’s shop in Yucca Valley, and paired it with one of my 1990’s California souvenir t-shirts. I topped off the outfit with faux turquoise baubles, my vintage, thrifted, woven sandals; my new-to-me vintage 1980’s Christian Dior sunglasses and my vintage Coach handbag.

(Vintage Los Angeles “Postcard Print”Top- Revival Vintage Co, Vintage Pants- Top Vintage LLC, Green Beaded Necklace- Stella & Dot, Vintage Handbag- thrifted, Vintage Hat- thrifted, Vintage Ferragamo Heels- Deja Vu Resale, Oversize Sunglasses- Zero UV.)

I’ve been wanting to spotlight my “Los Angeles Postcard Print” vintage blouse I bought from the Instagram vintage shop- Revival Vintage Co, for awhile now and was glad when I was finally able to break it out and wear it for this post in collaboration with a few other Houston fashion bloggers. Since it was still rather chilly, I paired the top with my easy floral print pants to complement the look. Now, since it was all about print mixing, I did try to piece together several looks the night before, but this final one just “felt right.” I added my favorite green statement necklace from Stella & Dot (no longer available) and a bright vintage handbag I recently thrifted as added color bonuses.

This is my first style post collaboration with other bloggers. I was thrilled when I was asked to share my style point-of-view with five other lovely ladies, all with their own unique style personalities. The ladies with whom I collaborated with are:
