Pop-Up Shop @ Em & Co. Featuring Lisa Michelle Collection…

I stopped by Em and Co. for one of their pop-up shop events, featuring one of my designer friends- Lisa Michelle Felsenthal, designer of Lisa Michelle Collection. She was featuring pieces from her line, along with Petro Zillia, Tiffany Kunz Designs, Tatiana and Black Tree Couture. Lisa showed me some new pieces from the Holiday 2011 collection, including a feminine draped dress with a single shoulder strap. Lisa wore the dress and I saw it on another attendee as well; I must say that it is one of my faves. It hugs the curves in all the right places and very goddess-like. It’s perfect for a red carpet event! She pointed out a new jacket that was stunning. It’s versatile and would look fabulous with a great pair of flared or skinny jeans for daytime and then throw on the jacket with a simple knee-length dress and pumps for an evening out. I love the cut and style of the jacket, and my eyes were immediately drawn to the paint brush-stroke print. Lisa also showed me her new accessories, like dainty sequin and jeweled-embellished cuffs, headbands and belts, as well as the fun sequin bib necklaces. Check out more of the Lisa Michelle Collection here. Jewelry designer- Xavier Madera was showing some pieces from his Black Tree Couture line. My favorites were the necklaces that were made from vintage clear Burberry beads. Overall the line, which has won over the hearts of many celebrities, is very fresh and fun. Check out Black Tree Couture here. The whole event was very exciting. It was great meeting new designers and seeing familiar faces. Be sure to check out Em & Co., as they are always hosting events and pop-up shops!

"Perfectasy" Pop-Up Shop Featuring OnchMovement at Royal-T Cafe

LA designer Onch hosted yet another magical party for the opening of his month long pop-up shop “Perfectasy” (combining ‘perfection’ and ‘ecstasy’) at the Royal-T Cafe in Culver City. This event marked one of five OnchMovement events taking place throughout the month of August. Guests at the event were treated to a candy bar, the famous Royal-T Cafe maids in Japanese cosplay, a mermaid, live butterflies and ladybugs and the highlight- a unicorn…err…a horse with a sparkly blue horn and one of Onch’s signature neon pink pretzels painted on the side of its rear-end. Onch showcased his line of candy, meat, eggs and pretzel goodness, as well as OnchMovement-themed pieces by Petro Zillia designer-Nony Tochterman and “Tentacle Women” necklaces by Misha, along with tees that he collaborated on with designer- Traver Rains (formerly of Heatherette). Also on display were colorful unicorn hoodies and tails that were in collaboration with Happy Hoodie Friends. It was such a fun and festive evening. I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing all the playful fashion.

Petro Zillia/Forever 21 Collaboration Launch Party

The lovely Americana at Brand was the backdrop for the evening’s festivities at the mall’s Forever 21…. It was the official launch party for the Petro Zillia and Forever 21 Collaboration. The front of the store housed a buffet of candies in pink hues, while hostesses wearing pink wigs were dishing out the candies into little baggies for the guests. Behind the buffet were the racks of sweaters, shirts, dresses, hot shorts and bandeaus in bold, rainbow prints, created with love by Petro Zillia designer- Nony Tochterman. “For this collection, I was inspired by everything loving, happy and bright. Looking at it, you’ll be immersed in upbeat colors and wild and untraditional combinations, like my favorite print with heart and stripes. I have every intention to inspire the Forever 21 customer to remember how wonderful life is and to be happy as they wear my designs,” Nony explains. “I was super excited to partner with Forever 21 since I’ve been a fan and customer along with my twelve-year-old daughter Romie.” Prices for the collection range from $12 for the bandeau top to $28 for the tulle party dress.

Along with shopping the collection, guests also were able to enjoy a cotton candy station ( pink cotton candy of course!)and a station where people could film a 7 second scenario for their own flip books with the help of Kimmy Leighton of A Little Scene Flip Books.

Special Thanks: Forever 21, Americana at Brand, Petro Zillia, Nony Tochterman, Kimmy Leighton and the PR ladies at Forever 21.
